A 41-year-old woman was struck by a car in San Francisco's Excelsior District. The accident occurred on April 5, 2012, at approximately 6:15 p.m. According to published reports, the victim was hit by a car that was turning south onto Mission Street from Italy Avenue. The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with serious head injuries.
