Fatal Bicycle Accident Claims the Life of Fresno Man

A tragic bicycle accident claimedthe life of a cyclist on December 9, 2012, in Fresno, California. California Highway Patrol Officers are investigating the shocking accident which occurred as the cyclist was traveling southbound on Golden State near Jefferson. According to published reports, the cyclist was struck by a Freightliner truck and thrown from his bicycle.

The driver of the Freightliner truck fled the scene and left the victim on the shoulder of the road. Detectives eventually located the driver of the truck and arrested 36-year-old Gurpeet Singh Bisla on suspicion of causing the accident and fleeing the scene.
