Girl Struck by Car While Walking to Kindergarten Class

A heart wrenching pedestrian accident occurred on March 6, 2012 in San Francisco's Polk Gulch District. The victim is a 5 year-old girl who was walking to kindergarten class while accompanied by her mother. The tragic accident occurred on Frank Norris Street which is a one-way alley between Polk and Larkin Street.

According to published reports, the young victim was struck by a Jeep that was traveling eastbound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The street where the accident occurred is adjacent to an elementary school and has a reputation for being dangerous.
