Tragic Bicycle Accident Claims the Life of Redwood City Teenager

Redwood City residents are mourning the loss of Woodside High School student Leyla Beban. Leyla was involved in a tragic bicycle accident while on her way to school at approximately 8:30 a.m. on November 26, 2012.

Redwood City Police Department officials have indicated that Leyla was struck by a pickup truck as she was turning onto southbound Alameda de las Pulgas from Jefferson Avenue. Immediately following the accident, Leyla was transported to Stanford Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
